Commonwealth Appearances

England’s Jamie-Lea Winch will be hoping to compete a clean sweep of Commonwealth medals on home soil at Birmingham 2022.

The 31-year-old won bronze at Delhi 2010 in the triples competition and a silver four years later in Glasgow.

That was in the women’s pair’s event with Natalie Melmore, the duo only losing out to South Africa by just three shots.

Lea-Winch rates Australian international and four-time world champion Karen Murphy as the fellow bowler she admires the most.

If she can repeat Murphy’s home gold - won at Melbourne 2006 - the 31-year-old will have her Commonwealth set.

Lawn Bowls
It was a hugely successful campaign at Leamington Spa’s Victoria Park and some thrilling games saw Team England leave the plush lawn with six medals including two gold, two silver and two bronze.
