After dabbling in rugby and basketball, James Arnott settled on athletics in 2012 and has not looked back.

Arnott donned the Team England vest for the second time in 2022, finishing fourth four years on from the silver he won in Gold Coast in the T47 100m.

Arnott was born with Erb’s palsy, a condition that causes restricted movement in his left shoulder, and wanted to follow in the footsteps of his brother Jack and play rugby for Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.

But London 2012 inspired the Devon star and he will no doubt look to claim further major Games medals in the years to come.

In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
