Jade Atkin had spent much of her sporting career with her sister Adele by her side but at Birmingham 2022 she went it alone as part of Team England’s first wheelchair basketball squad, claiming a bronze medal.
Atkin, alongside Amy Conroy, Joy Haizelden and Charlotte Moore, powered Team England to a place on the podium as the sport made its Games debut.
She went on to make her Paralympic debut in 2024 as her rapid ascent continued. Atkin now heads to Glasgow 2026 looking to upgrade her bronze medal.
