Isabella Hindley made up for lost time with a pair of silver medals at Birmingham 2022.

Hindley's plans for progression after graduating from Yale in 2019 were stunted by Covid-19, but the Hammersmith-born swimmer bounced back to take Commonwealth silver in both the 4x100m freestyle and 4x100m mixed freestyle.

It was the perfect homecoming for Hindley, who had a highly successful NCAA swimming career - winning four consecutive 50m freestyle NCAA golds as well as a string of other titles - alongside a majoring in Psychology at Branford College during her time stateside.

The Londoner threw herself into US college life, not only being an integral part of the Yale varsity swimming squad but also being a member of the Yale Student Athlete College Council and volunteering at summer camps.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
