The heptathlete began her athletics journey at the age of just eight, winning several school and national competitions.
In 2016, she won gold at the U18 European Athletics Championships in Tbilisi, before winning gold at the Commonwealth Youth Games a year later in the Bahamas, both in the long jump.
In Birmingham, Mills posted an overall score of 6095 points to finish just off the podium, victorious in the final event of the competition in her beloved 800m.
