Holly Bradshaw claimed Britain’s first ever Olympic medal in the pole vault when she won bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.

It came after placing sixth and fifth in the previous two Games and showed the incredible resolve that has made her an icon of the sport.

The Preston star comes into this summer’s Games fourth in the world rankings with a personal best of 4.90m, a national record, which she set in Manchester last June.

At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Bradshaw withdrew from competition last minute due to a hamstring injury that had appeared at the recent World Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Athletics and Para-Athletics
In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
