One of the world’s best defenders, hockey star Hollie Pearne-Webb helped Team England strike gold in her third Commonwealth Games - and her first as England captain.

The 31-year-old has racked up two Olympic medals, three Commonwealth medals and three European Championship podiums in her storied international career.

Pearne-Webb will be best remembered for hitting the decisive goal in the shoot-out that propelled Team GB to gold at Rio 2016, while she was also part of the Team England squads that won silver in 2014 and bronze in 2018.

Off the pitch, she works part-time for Defra, the government’s environment department.
