Wrestling

Having represented his country since the tender age of 12, Harvey Ridings will hope to make his name on Commonwealth Games debut in the 57kg category.

A nine-time national champion, the teenager has already cut his teeth at a multi-sport event having attended the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku.

Ridings started out at Aspull Warrior Wrestling Club in Wigan and has since gone on to train abroad in Ukraine, Finland, Germany and, more recently, the United States where he will be continuing his athletic and academic career at Emmanuel College in Georgia in autumn this year.

But first, Ridings will aim to prove himself amongst some of the best wrestlers in the world at the Commonwealths in Birmingham.
