Teenage track cyclist Grace Lister made her Commonwealth Games debut aged just 18.

Although it did not quite go to plan, finishing 14th in both the individual pursuit and the scratch race, at such a young age it was hugely important experience.

Having first sat on a bike aged six, Lister’s journey in the sport started at Wolverhampton Wheelers and continued at the increasingly successful Bridgnorth club.

She broke onto the British Cycling programme in 2021 and took European junior gold in stunning style alongside Maddie Leech, Millie Couzens and Zoe Backstedt.

Still only 19, she won her second national title at the 2023 British Cycling  National Track Championships in the team pursuit.
