Georgia Hunter Bell’s rise has been so dramatic that she heads to Glasgow as a Commonwealth Games debutant with Olympic, World and European medals already under her belt.
A prodigious youngster who walked away from the sport, Hunter Bell returned to athletics following Covid, initially thanks to parkrun while she was still working in cyber security.
Training alongside Keely Hodgkinson, Hunter Bell won European silver in Rome in 2024 just a month before setting a new British 1500m record on her way to Olympic bronze in Paris.
She followed that up by winning World Championship silver ahead of Hodgkinson over 800m the following year in Tokyo before a maiden global gold, at the World Indoors in Torun in 2026.
