Gabrielle Idle-Beavers seized her chance to shine at April's Aquatics GB Championships, finishing second in the women's 100m breaststroke behind Angharad Evans.
Her reputation as a national age group champion has recently earned her a spot at the University of Kentucky, heading Stateside from Tavistock Swimming Club in Devon.
