Freya Davies place in Team England's women's cricket side was off the back of 12 years of senior cricket at the age of just 26.

The tall, athletic fast bowler made her debut for Sussex way back in 2010 at the age of just 14, announcing herself in sensational style by taking the wicket of then-England captain Charlotte Edwards in just her third match.

Kicking on to international level did take time, but ever since earning a central contract in 2019 she has been one of England’s most dangerous bowlers.

Her climb to cricket’s top tier is not unique for a former pupil of Brighton College, who also count fellow England players Sarah Taylor, Holly Colvin and Laura Marsh as alumni.
