Flora Peel set up both goals as England beat Australia 2-1 to win Commonwealth Games hockey gold for the first time at Birmingham 2022.
That is not Peel's only claim to fame however, with her great-grandfather (to the power of five) Sir Robert Peel: the two-time Prime Minster, creator of the Metropolitan Police service and one of the founders of the modern Conservative Party.
She also won the British Slalom Championships as a 12-year-old skier before hockey took over, and she works in sport away the field too, as a sports paralegal.
While she is from Cheltenham originally, she has now moved to the Netherlands where she plays her club hockey.
She was selected in her first senior England squad in February 2022, the same month in which she was confirmed in the GB training squad for the year and while unlucky to miss out on the World Cup through injury, more than made up for her absence there with a decisive contribution in the Commonwealth Games showpiece.
