Emma Reid heads to Glasgow 2026 to defend her Commonwealth title.

Reid clinched the -78kg crown at Birmingham 2022, as she beat defending champion and childhood hero Natalie Powell in a thrilling final at the Coventry Arena.

The Melbourn judoka has continued to impress since then, winning two Grand Slam bronze medals in 2024 - the same year she made her Olympic debut at Paris 2024.

Reid reached the round of 32 in Paris but bounced back with world championship bronze later that year, before clinching Grand Slam gold in Dushanbe in 2025.

She heads to Glasgow off the back of winning European silver in 2026 and now has eyes on making it back-to-back Commonwealth golds.

Judo
The three-day Judo bonanza kicked off with Team England success in the form of a gold medal for Ashley McKenzie who came out on top in an all-English final against Sam Hall in the 60kg competition.
