Elizabeth Dodds gained her love of athletics in Qatar and has gone from strength to strength since returning to these shores.
Dodds spent part of her childhood in Doha and joined the city’s athletics club in 2018, while she also received a Council of British International School (COBIS) award for ‘resilience in the face of adversity’ during her time at Doha College.
She has quadriplegic dystonic cerebral palsy, affecting her muscle tone and range of movement, and competes in the T38 category across 100m, 200m and long jump.
Dodds idolises Hannah Cockroft and represented her country for the first time at the Welsh Athletics U20 International in 2023, when she won the 100m. She finished third at the School Games the following year and will make her Commonwealth Games debut this summer.
