One of the leading lights of a wheelchair racing generation inspired by London 2012 and David Weir, Rainbow-Cooper earned a first Commonwealth medal in a time of 1:59.45, finishing second behind Madison de Rozario.

The Weir Archer Academy athlete has gone from strength to strength since then, knocking over 10 minutes off her personal best at the London Marathon later that year.

She is part of the Weir Archer Academy, run by the six-time Paralympic champion to nurture the next set of stars.
