Daryl Selby earned a third Commonwealth medal in his fourth Games, just a few months out from his 40th birthday.

Selby teamed up once again with Adrian Waller, as the pair repeated their feat of men's doubles silver just like they did on the Gold Coast four years prior.

The former world No.9 scaled back his squash schedule in November 2021, stepping away from the World Tour treadmill to focus solely on selection for the Commonwealth Games, with that decision paying off no end.

The pair of silvers sit alongside the bronze he won alongside James Willstrop in Glasgow in 2014, as well as a number of World Team Championship medals, including gold from 2013.

Selby balances his time on court with a career as a sporting agent, managing professional athletes across multiple sports.

The Harlow-born right-hander also completed his first ultra marathon in under ten hours last summer.

The stand-out story from the glass courts at the University of Birmingham was undoubtedly that of Gina Kennedy who, on her Games debut, became the first English woman to win the Women’s Singles title.
