Dan Greaves’ longevity in athletics is almost unparalleled, as he prepares to compete on the global stage for a 26th year.
Greaves won Paralympic silver at Sydney 2000 and made history as he earned medals at six consecutive Paralympic Games.
Alongside that, the Leicestershire native claimed Commonwealth gold the last time the Games were in Glasgow as he won the men’s discus throw F42/44 with an effort of 59.21.
He also competed at Birmingham 2022, finishing fourth, and will now hope to add to his medal collection again.
In 2025, competing the day before his 43rd birthday, Greaves won world bronze, his sixth medal at a World Championships, to prove that age is but a number.
