Craig Murch posted an eighth-place finish on his Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022.

The 2020 British Hammer Throw champion's preparations were hampered by an illness in the run up to the Games but the Rugby-born athlete still produced a throw of 68.42m.

Murch now has his sights set on Paris 2024, where he is hoping to climb the rankings.
