Yorkshireman Connor Swift was plucked from obscurity to start the 2020 Tour de France for Arkéa-Samsic.
A solid climber with a strong kick, Swift developed a bromance with legendary Colombian road rider Nairo Quintana in his time at the French team despite having only raced four times on the World Tour.
With experience of some of the world’s biggest one-day races under his belt, Swift was part of the Pride at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and finished inside the top 50 in the men's road race on his major Games debut.
