Cameron Kurle made it a hat-trick of Commonwealth silver medals at Birmingham 2022, as he added another to his collection as part of the men's 4x100m freestyle relay team.

Kurle already boasted a pair of silvers from the Gold Coast four years prior, finishing second to Australia both times in the 4x100m and 4x200m events.

And Kurle returned to repeat the feat a third time at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre, safely ensuring England qualified for the final in second place, though he did not race in the final.

The avid Tottenham Hotspur fan doesn't just win silvers, though, with a gold and a bronze earned at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow as part of the men's 4x200m freestyle relay and mixed 4x200m freestyle relay teams.

At the age of just 17, Kurle took gold in the 2015 European Games in Baku in the 4x100m freestyle event.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
