Asha Philip is a proven championship performer and in her third Commonwealth Games in Birmingham saw her complete her Commonwealth set with gold in the 4x100m.

The sprinter was part of the 4x100m team that won gold at their home Games, originally crossing the line for silver but later upgraded to the title of Champions in 2023.

Philip has won two Olympic, two World Championship and three European Championship medals and remains 60m national record holder. 

Philip, who runs out of Newham and Essex Beagles club, has become a mainstay in Britain’s 4x100m relay teams and backed up bronze in 2014 and gold in 2018 with silver in 2022.

At the 2023 World Athletics Championships, Philip picked up bronze in the women's 4x100m relay.

In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
