Amalie Smith stormed to world and European level junior medals in a breakthrough 2025 season. 

The breaststroke specialist won two golds at the 2025 European Junior Swimming Championships in the 200m and 400m individual medleys in Slovakia in her first taste of the competition.

Smith followed those continental crowns with two silver medals at the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in Romania in the same races aged just 15-years-old.

She became a national champion with her 400m individual medley victory at the 2026 Aquatics GB Championships, also claiming two bronze medals and setting a new personal best time in the 100m butterfly at the London Aquatics Centre.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
