Alice Capsey made her Commonwealth Games debut at only 17 years old, a sign of how the rising star of English cricket continued to climb.
She started the tournament with a bang crashing 44 against Sri Lanka before making her first half-century in an England shirt against South Africa on the way to the bronze medal match, where Team England lost to New Zealand.
An all-rounder with a right-arm off break, the teenager started her journey with Dorking side Capel Cricket Club before moving to Surrey and The Hundred outfit, the Oval Invincibles.
She made her County Championship debut in 2019 for Surrey against Hampshire, taking three for 65 with the ball before impressing in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for South East Stars.
2021 saw Capsey claim two inaugural titles winning the Charlotte Edwards Cup with the Stars before taking home the Hundred with the Invincibles.
She was then honoured as the first recipient of the inaugural PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
