Six years after switching from eventing to athletics, Ali Smith finished fourth in the T38 100m at Birmingham 2022.

Just over a decade ago, Ali Smith was a talented young showjumper competing in the European Viewing Trials.

Following a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, Smith was encouraged to take to the track to boost her mobility, having raced at a high standard at school as a teenager.

And that has since yielded European and Paralympic medals.
