If you think making your mark in athletics was enough to be getting on with, try being Aleeya Sibbons, who combined sprinting with studying architecture.
Before moving to the University of Bath to train and study, Sibbons was part of the Great Britain team that won European U20 4x100m relay gold in Tallinn in 2021.
She picked up the British Universities and College (BUCS) 100m title a year later before being selected for her first senior squad for the 2023 European Games.
Selections for the World Athletics Relays and European Championships followed as she was named on the Olympic Futures Programme.
However, a lengthy ankle injury stalled her progress, denying her a shot at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Making her Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow, Sibbons is the latest in a long line of stars from Newham and Essex Beagles, including Sir Mo Farah and Chrstine Ohuruogu.
