Commonwealth Games England is delighted to announce the appointment of Lindsey Eckhouse as a Non-Executive Director and member of the organisation's Commercial and Communications Committee.

Lindsey joins the Board with more than 15 years of international experience driving commercial growth, fan engagement, brand development and digital innovation across some of the world's most recognised sports and entertainment organisations. Her appointment comes at an exciting time for Team England as the organisation continues to strengthen its commercial foundations, grow its audience and enhance support for athletes ahead of future Commonwealth Games cycles.

Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Mercury13, a pioneering multi-club ownership group focused on women's football, Lindsey leads the organisation's commercial strategy across sponsorship, retail, digital products, audience growth and consumer revenue. Since joining the business, she has helped establish its first group-wide commercial partnerships, develop scalable commercial infrastructure and create long-term audience growth strategies designed to maximise fan lifetime value.

Prior to Mercury13, Lindsey held senior leadership roles at McLaren Racing, G2 Esports and the National Football League (NFL). Across these organisations, Lindsey has consistently demonstrated an ability to build commercially successful partnerships, unlock new revenue opportunities and develop innovative strategies that connect brands, athletes and fans.

Welcoming the appointment, John Steele, Chair of Commonwealth Games England, said:

“We are delighted that Lindsey will be joining Commonwealth Games England Board. Her experience in revenue generation and data-led decision making across a wide variety of organisations, will be so valuable to us as we evolve our approach in the next games cycle.”

Speaking about her appointment, Lindsey said:

"This appointment means a great deal to me having grown up a competitive gymnast and seeing first hand how organizations like CGE can change a sport for the better. I have built my career at the intersection of sport, brand and fan engagement, there's nothing more exciting than doing that in service of athletes and a national team. I'm looking forward to working alongside the Board and the wider CGE team to help drive sustainable, long-term growth as we head toward the next cycle."

Lindsey's appointment further strengthens Commonwealth Games England's commitment to bringing diverse expertise and fresh perspectives to the Board, ensuring the organisation is well positioned to deliver sustainable growth, engage new generations of fans and support England's athletes on and off the field of play.

Everyone at Commonwealth Games England warmly welcomes Lindsey to the team.
