Team England will head to Glasgow 2026 with a 14-strong boxing squad as they look to build on an unrivalled legacy in the ring.
An evenly split team of seven men and seven women will take to the Commonwealth canvas later this summer, as Team England aims to extend its record as the most successful boxing nation in Commonwealth Games history.
A brand-new team of Commonwealth debutants heads to Glasgow packed with international pedigree, major medals and exciting emerging talent.
Leading the women’s squad is Olympian Chantelle Reid, who will make her Commonwealth Games debut after a remarkable journey back to the top of the sport.
Reid claimed world bronze last year and arrives in Glasgow in strong form after winning gold at the Strandja Cup earlier this year.

Her journey to Team England selection has been anything but straightforward. Forced to step away from boxing as a teenager, Reid completed an apprenticeship in wealth management before returning to the ring in early 2023.
After nearly walking away from the sport again following Paris 2024, a visit to her former primary school inspired her to continue pursuing success in the ring.
She is joined in the women’s squad by world under-19 champion Ruby White, who heads into her first Commonwealth Games as one of British boxing’s brightest young talents.
The 19 year-old boasts an impressive junior record and steps up to the senior stage after winning the prestigious SportsAid One-to-Watch award in 2024.
White said, "I'm incredibly excited and proud to have been selected to represent England at the Commonwealth Games. Pulling on the England vest for my Commonwealth Games debut is a huge honour, and it's another special milestone in what has, already, been an amazing journey."
"At just 19, I'm grateful for every opportunity I've been given, and I'm determined to make the most of this one. I'm ready to perform on the biggest stage, show what I'm capable of, and make everyone who's supported me proud. I can't wait to get out there and show the world what I can do."
Fellow youngster Lauren Mackie also earns selection, with the talented 20-year-old arriving in Glasgow after securing bronze at the World Boxing Cup in April and making her senior World Championships debut last year.
Sacha Hickey will also carry momentum into Glasgow after claiming bronze at the World Boxing Cup in Brazil. The 22-year-old welterweight already boasts European Under-23 gold among her growing list of achievements.
Elise Glynn earns selection for Team England for the first time after winning multiple World Boxing Cup medals, while fellow West Midlands fighter Lucy Kings-Wheatley joins her in the squad as a two-time World Cup medallist.
Completing the women’s team is Mary-Kate Smith, who heads to her first Commonwealth Games after reaching the quarter-finals of the World Championships in Liverpool last year.
On the men’s side, twin talents Will Hewitt and Paddy Hewitt are both selected for their Commonwealth Games debuts after impressing on the international stage over the last year.
They are joined by world youth medallist and European youth champion Damar Thomas, who reached the quarter-finals of the World Boxing Championships last year. Thomas further underlined his credentials for Glasgow with victory at the Strandja Cup in February.

Patris Mughalzai also arrives in strong form after winning bronze at the Strandja Cup, adding to back-to-back World Boxing Cup bronze medals claimed last year.
Oladimeji Shittu will take impressive momentum into his maiden Commonwealth Games after securing consecutive World Boxing Cup gold medals last year. Shittu claimed one of those victories in India alongside compatriot Isaac Okoh, who also won the 2025 Tammer Tournament before taking silver at the World Boxing Cup in China last month.
Ellis Trowbridge completes Team England’s boxing squad after winning bronze at the World Boxing Cup in India last year.
Boxing Team Leader, Chris Connelly, said, "It's an incredibly exciting moment to announce this team. Every athlete has earned their place through years of hard work, dedication and consistent performances in the ring, and it's fantastic to see so many of them come through the England Boxing pathway. This squad reflects the depth of talent and strength of boxing across England."
"Selection is a proud milestone for the athletes, but it's an equally proud moment for the coaches, clubs and families who have supported them every step of the way. We hope clubs across the country look at this team with pride, knowing they've played an important part in making this achievement possible."
Team England Chef de Mission Jonathon Riall added, “Our boxing team brings a wealth of experience ahead of what will be a standout spectacle at Glasgow 2026. Team England has such a rich history in the ring, and I know our team in Glasgow will do their best to continue that record.”
