We are excited to announce Loughborough University as the Official University partner of Team England.
The partnership, which covers this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games in Malta, will not only see the university become the official home of Team England's pre-Games preparation camp, but for the first time ever will see Team England feature the Loughborough University logo on the sleeves of medal ceremony kit at Games time.
Team England’s new partnership with Loughborough University marks an exciting step on the road to the 2026 Commonwealth Games, bringing together world‑leading expertise to support athletes and amplify Team England’s ambitions.
Commonwealth Games England CEO, Mark Osikoya said,

Loughborough University was named sports university of the year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 and is ranked the world's number one university for sport-related academia by the QS Rankings. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Loughborough athletes won a record haul of 47 medals - 14 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze.
