Earlier this month we celebrated one year since the Samoa 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games, where Team England brought home an incredible haul of 44 medals to finish third place overall in the table, behind Australia in first place, and South Africa in second.

Around 1,000 athletes aged 14-18 competed for over 107 gold medals in nine sports over five days of competition in Samoa. We took a team of 60 young athletes and coaching / support staff to represent eight sports (Archery, Athletics, Boxing, Lawn Bowls, Rugby 7s, Squash, Swimming and Weightlifting).
 
Our incredible athletes brough home 12 gold, 16 bronze and 16 silver medals across the Games.
