Team England has selected its men’s and women’s 3x3 line-ups for Glasgow 2026 blending Commonwealth medallists, FIBA franchise players and GB internationals, as they aim to build on Birmingham 2022’s debut success.

Leading the men's squad is reigning Commonwealth champion Jamell Anderson, who returns to the Games after helping England secure a dramatic gold medal on home soil four years ago.

Joining Anderson is Ashley Hamilton, one of the most respected figures in British 3x3 basketball, who is set to make his Team England debut. Hamilton has played a pivotal role in the growth of the discipline, taking ownership and rebranding the UK's first professional 3x3 franchise, London 3x3 GBR, in 2025.

Commonwealth newcomers Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Evan Walshe complete the men's quartet after playing key roles in one of the most successful periods in British 3x3 history. Both helped Great Britain qualify for its first-ever FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2025, while also securing the nation's maiden appearance at the FIBA Europe Cup Finals.

Veron Eze and Toto Fagbenle have been named as reserves.

The women's squad sees Birmingham 2022 silver medallists Shanice Beckford-Norton and Cheridene Green return for a second Commonwealth Games after helping England reach the final during the sport's inaugural appearance.

Green brings a wealth of international experience, having represented Great Britain in both 5x5 and 3x3 basketball, while Beckford-Norton has established herself as one of the leading names in the British game, helping the London Lions make history with a EuroCup Women title in 2024.

They are joined by Commonwealth debutants Georgia Gayle and Katie Januszewska.

Januszewska enjoyed success with Great Britain's U23 3x3 programme last summer, helping the team secure victory at stop five of the FIBA Nations League, while Gayle earns selection following an outstanding domestic campaign that saw Sheffield Hatters complete an impressive quadruple.

Marlee Ball and Nina Rickards have been selected as reserves.

Team England Men's 3x3 Head Coach Julius Joseph MBE said:

"We wanted a mix of experience and youth, and we have good strength, size and length, which will make us effective in getting to the bucket and protecting the rim. These guys have proven during the selection process that they are very capable of playing on the elite stage. We look forward to Glasgow and making our title defence."

Team England Women's 3x3 Head Coach Sarah Hopkins-Chery added:

"The past few weeks have shown what this women's team is made of. Whatever we've thrown at them, they've adapted to and become a tight unit; fighting for each other and striving for the goal that awaits in Scotland. I know they are going to wear the England jersey with a lot of pride and passion. I'm pleased to see them go through and represent England on the international stage."

Team England Chef de Mission Jonathan Riall said:

"Following an incredible debut at Birmingham 2022 which saw Team England come away with multiple medals, I am so excited to watch 3x3 basketball return in Glasgow. Our squads see a strong mix of returning medallists and fresh talent and I can't wait to watch them on court later this month."

The road to Glasgow 2026 is almost complete, with Team England's 3x3 basketball squads now set to make their final preparations before taking to the court at the Scottish Event Campus from 24-29 July. Visit Glasgow2026.com to find out more.
