Triple Commonwealth Games squash silver medallist Laura Massaro continued her recent run of form as she rallied late on to clinch her second successive PSA World Series title.

Massaro, who won the Macau Open in September and US Open on October 18, trailed Egypt’s Nour El Sherbini at the Qatar Classic in the decisive fifth game.

But the world number three dug deep to turn the tables on a player ranked five places lower and seal a 11-8, 12-14, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9 win in one hour and 13 minutes.

The result also sees Massaro close the gap to El Sherbini’c compatriot and world number one Raneem El Welily and number two Nicol David of Malaysia.

"It's amazing to win another major trophy - I'm over the moon," said Massaro. "Physically and mentally I feel in a really good place.

"There's a lot of great names on that trophy so it's a great feeling to know that my name will go alongside them now.”
