Team England has unveiled its swimming squad ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, confirming a 42-strong group set to dive into action at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow.
The line-up features 28 swimmers and 14 para swimmers, blending established champions, relay stalwarts and emerging talent ready to make their mark on the international stage.
Leading the squad is four-time Commonwealth champion Adam Ramsay-Peaty, who returns for his fourth Games as one of the most dominant breaststroke swimmers of his generation.

Ramsay-Peaty said: “Being selected to represent your country is always an honour and there is something special about a home Commonwealth Games. The event also marks a significant milestone in my international career which began in Glasgow 12 years ago at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
"I’m particularly excited to compete in Scotland this summer as I know everyone will come together to make it a brilliant occasion.”
He is joined by three-time Olympic champion Tom Dean, who will play a key role in defending the 4x100m medley relay crown alongside teammates James Guy, Greg Butler, Luke Greenbank, Jacob Peters and Jacob Whittle.
Two-time Commonwealth champion Alice Tai will be returning as a proven gold-medal force after back-to-back S9 100m backstroke titles in 2018 and 2022.
Alongside Tai, the squad also features Paralympic champions Poppy Maskill, Rebecca Redfern, William Ellard, Brock Whiston and Louise Fiddes, underlining the depth of experience and success.
Fresh from breaking her own British record in the 200m freestyle at the Aquatics GB Championships, Freya Colbert heads into her second Games with real momentum behind her and a growing reputation on the international stage.
She is accompanied by Commonwealth Youth Games champion Erin Little, who will make her senior Commonwealth debut in Glasgow after being selected as one of the recipients of the Sir John Hanson Young Talent Scholarship, a programme supporting the next generation of English athletes through targeted funding, mentoring and performance development opportunities.

Team England Chef de Mission Jonathon Riall said: “It’s brilliant to be able to announce such strong swimming squads for Glasgow 2026.
“We have a number of returning Commonwealth champions and true stars of the sport, alongside some new faces who are set to make their mark this summer.”
Swim England Head of Sport and Team England Team Leader for swimming and para swimming, Richard Blackshaw, added: “The swimming team is immensely proud and excited to have the opportunity to represent Team England and the English swimming community at the Commonwealth Games, an honour that does not come around often for athletes.
“What makes this team particularly special is its fully integrated nature, bringing together para and Olympic pathway athletes to compete as one unified group, reflecting the very best of inclusivity and shared ambition.”
As the road to Glasgow 2026 gathers pace, focus now shifts to the final preparations as Team England’s swimming squads gear up for a huge summer of Commonwealth competition.
