The Queen's Baton Relay spend the day at the Queen Elizabeth Park today as thousands turned out to participate in the Festival of Sport.
As well as seeing the Baton paraded across the park, around 30 different sports and activities were on offer for members of the public to try for free.
From cycling and cricket to wheelchair basketball and dancing, there really was something for everyone and even the sunshine turned up to great the crowds.
The day began in superb fashion with Sir Matthew Pinsent abseiling the Baton down the AcerlorMittal Orbitt, the country's highest sculpture at 114.5m.
The Baton left the crowds at around 4pm for a Downing Street visit to meet the Prime Minister before contuing its journey north and being handed over to Scotland on Saturday prior to the start of the Commonwealth Games.
