England enjoyed a comfortable victory in their opening match of the mixed team competition winning all five games against the Falkland Islands as Anthony Clark made his 99th appearance for his country.

Clark partnered Chris Adcock to win the men’s doubles match, while Adcock was also in action in the mixed doubles where he and Gabby White got the ball rolling in style, beating Douglas Clark and Anna Luxton 21-6, 21-7.

Carl Baxter and Liz Cann won their men’s and women’s singles matches respectively, while Heather Olver and Marian Agathangelou finished proceedings off with a comfortable win in the women’s doubles.

Nathan Robertson, who was rested this morning after his flag bearing duties last night, is likely to make his first appearance at the Games this evening.

England play Uganda at 7pm at the Siri Fort Sports Complex, a match that will see Clark crowned as the 13th player to win a 100 England caps.
