QUEEN'S BATON RELAY HITS SOUTHAMPTON IN STYLE AS BRITISH 400M RECORD HOLDER BOARDS THE MS QEEN ELIZABETH
Day five of the QBR began with a distinct naval theme as Iwan Thomas took the Baton aboard the MS QE at Southampton docks earlier this morning.
Thomas, 40, who still holds the Commonwealth Games 400m record, showed off the Baton to staff and stopped to pose with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Baton action doesn't end there though as 500 school children will take part in a sporting TRYathlon event before a spectacular outdoor diving display is being held at Guildhall Square from 6pm this evening.
The show, featuring diver Peter Waterfield, is open to the general public so come on down and join in the QBR atmosphere and fun.
