A first Commonwealth Games at just 19 will not daunt Henry Hobbs, he was winning national medals while only 16.
The youngster has been selected for his first Commonwealth Games after bursting onto the scene and continuing to shine ever since.
He grabbed attention when he claimed bronze at the British Cycling National Track Championships in the men’s kilometre time trial in 2024, earning a call-up to British Cycling’s junior academy.
A first international medal came in the same year, with bronze in the team pursuit at the European Junior Championships, before he was crowned world junior champion in the individual pursuit.
His range has expanded since then, as he claimed 1km time trial and omnium gold at the 2025 World Junior Championships.
A first senior medal arrived in the form of team pursuit bronze at the European Championships in February 2026.
